A few months back, I recorded a full playthrough of an A Link to the Past Randomizer run, using the Beginner preset in the hopes of keeping it from dragging on too long. And then YouTube wouldn't process the video, no matter how many times I retried or tinkered with the encoding. Even attempting brief clips extracted from the full recording failed, so it wasn't something as simple as objecting to the length or file size (and besides, I've seen videos that run several times as long).

My working hypothesis, after having another longish recording fail similarly, is that the software I'm recording with does something that YouTube doesn't agree with if the session runs long. I have no idea what or why, but it's just about the only thing that makes any sense.

And yet, I had no trouble playing it back on my own computer. So eventually I had a weird idea. What if I tried making a recording of the playback? And that worked!

So here's how the Mothula fight went. I consider it one of the more memorable points of the run, and it nicely demonstrates that, at least in Hyrule, bee beats moth. This isn't Randomizer-specific; it works just as well in the standard game.

I'm not planning on rerecording the rest of the run similarly, but in case anyone's curious, I've posted an illustrated narrative of the full run at: http://kwhazit.infinityfreeapp.com/trans/zelda3/randoRun.html
