AMD's rx vega graphics cards have officially launched, and well - good luck buying them. Several vendors are already reporting stock has sold out (some within minutes), and worryingly stores are reporting these as launch only prices - which may mean we see similar price rises as the RX Vega 64 faced.

Though, in other news, because of GPU RAM price increase (because memory producers are allocating more stock towards servers, embedded solutions and whatever else), we could see graphics cards which are using GDDR memory bump up in price by up to 10 percent. In fact, it's being reported that Nvidia's Pascal lineup of cards, including the popular geforce gtx 1080, gtx 1070, gtx 10060 could see up heafty price hikes.

Intel's Coffee Lake 8700K geekbench 4 performance has leaked out, which shows the I7-8700K performance lower than that of the Kaby Lake based 4-core I7-7700K processor. So what's going on here - is it a case of Intel's new processor has slower performance in certain single thread tasks, or is it something different - such as the I7-8700K's boost being hampered by poorer cooling. Well, let's investigate shall we?
