Intel Xeon-W For WorkStations | Xbox One X Competes With High End PC | PCIE 4.0 In 2017
Microsoft's Xbox One X console will be released in november, 2017. But according to the company, they're targeting the Xbox One X against high end gaming PCs, not against Sony's Playstation 4 or PS4 Pro, which they feel (baffingly) is better suited to go up against the Xbox One S.
Intel's Xeon lineup of desktop workstation processors, including support for 512GB of memory, Vpro and various other professional level abilities.. These CPUs have more PCIe lanes than their X299 counter parts, along with larger amounts of cache too.
PCI-Sig are launching the PCI-express 4.0 standard by end of this year, and PCI-E 5.0 has been confirmed by end of 2019. PCIE 5 will offer up to 128GB/s of bandwidth, perfect for future IO.
