Amnesia best viewed in low light .
The desktop was at 1080p while Amnesia ran full screen 720p . All stats say it was recorded at 720p 60 Hz with MPEG 2.0 audio . uTube audio is out of sync . Locally played audio is synced . Guess ? 60 Hz video with uTube re-transcode to 30 Hz caused the audio sync issue .

Capture's hue is default at 49 , but I see yellow has green'ish tone . Thus hue is set to 50 .

default Hauppauge Capture settings:
brightness 14
contrast 58
saturation 60
hue 49 ( using hue at 50 )

the above settings are barely able to view gray bar 250 , and it drops off at gray bar 8 . Seems Window's 10 works best
with Hauppauge Default ,...except for hue as noted above .

I found more info on Color Temperature . 6600 K is
R = 255 G = 255 B = 255 . neutral color temp .

emitted light intensities are related to the Kelvin scale
For some reason , many built-in color temp settings "Normal"
are NOT set to Flat , but instead always have a slight Red to the White . Why ? I don't know . With that , white can never be White
That is why I use color temps of RGB each the same , as:
RGB Gain's each at 33
RGB Offset's each at 53

A WARM color temp might be 6500 K R = 255 G = 254 B = 250
slight red'ish .
A built-in preset might label WARM , as NORMAL .

The full Kalvin range of color temp is
15000 K to 1500 K

some cryogenics operate at 17 degrees K .

color temp using Kelvin is about spectral energy of emitted light in the visible color spectrum .

15000 K is the most hot at R = 0 G = ? B = 255 , giving a blue
tint\cast .
1500 K is the most cold at R = 255 G = 108 B = 0
giving a Red tint\cast .

For end user convenience , 1500 K would be labeled as "very warm" because it gives Red .
And , 15000 K would be labeled at "very Cool" for it's blue'ish result .( even though 15000 K is the most HOT ) .

Hauppauge Capture , again .
Contrast of 59 goes specular of gray bar 250 , thus Contrast setting 58 is the max that should ever be used , and 58 is the Default . That is a very limited range , but that is how it is for Window's 10 here . Contrast 58 makes White the "most White"
( less pale ) while still allowing gray bar 250 to be visible .
gray bar 250 is just barely visible .
Also , going from Contrast 55 to 58 reduced the color saturation thus saturation was increased from 54 to 60
( 60 is the default ) .
Brightness 14 is a marginal setting too , as it only goes down to gray bar level 8 visibility .

hue default 49 gives yellow a green'ish tint , hue at 50 looks best .

Hauppauge's default settings converges best on window's 10 when AB comparing "recorded\playback view" to "Live view"
( same visual view ) ,

I still like the look\settings of Window's 8.1 much better ,..
but I am staying with Window's 10 .

I am done fooling with these settings .

note Amnesia in game gamma adjustment, 1.2 is the default and it is very very close to specification . view Amnesia in low lighting .

best way to upgrade to Window's 10 , ,..go to Microsoft and download the iso image , so as to install manually . The applet will let you make a DVD or Blu-ray disk of the iso image . This iso disk will let you upgrade to window's 10 . Then later , if you want , you can use this same iso disk to do a Clean install .

I did wait , not very long , for the auto-update to start, but it never did . The iso disk update had No install issues . It all worked .

issues may still occur with vendor hardware drivers and apps ,
after the upgrade has completed .
