Dungeons of Sundaria is an Indie, Hack and Slash, Arcade Action RPG Dungeon Crawler with gigantic dungeons that feel incredible.
Gameplay wise: think a 3rd person Diablo with wasd movement.

Dungeons of Sundaria Update:
09/14/23: Super Awesome Mega Patch.
New class abilities, new bonus abilities on items, high lvl cap, and more interesting enemies (at 20% heal they will activate a combat effect).

A 3rd Person sort of Diablo like:
Like in old school Diablo, you can break crates and barrels for loot as you slaughter monsters, as well as hunt for tombs and chests, and loot weapon racks for nice items.
While it doesn’t have the random dungeons of Diablo, the ones it does have are huge and immersive, and it does have the intense ARPG action and loot collection, and the amount of loot you can pack away here is staggering.
Dungeons of Sundaria is generous with both loot, and character loot storage, with your character able to pack away pages of gear; guess they are packing a portable hole; handy!
Five pages of character storage, and no inventory tetras here!

The Dungeons:
As mentioned above, the dungeons here are non-procedural, but huge.
These dungeons, of which there are 6 different ones currently, are massive and labyrinthine, I love it!
For example, the crypt dungeon goes deep, into the sewers with their own boss, and deeper, into the caves, and then even deeper!
These dungeons have destructible walls, hidden areas, traps, and, as I said before, are BIG!
Not kidding; their HUGE!
Tip: Make certain to use your glow-ie orb ability to help navigation; you have a min-map, but this will really help.
When you start the dungeon again, it asks you if you want to reset it, or enter at your last checkpoint; this very handy if you want to run fresh or do a bit of a grind.
Plus, each of these dungeons has 3 difficulty lvls, allowing the player to run them again at high lvl for better gear and more of a challenge, like in Diablo.
Another thing: you can go to whatever dungeon you want, though they do have recommended lvls; thank you for the choice devs!

The Combat:
The Combat in Dungeons of Sundaria is action and cooldown based, with no mana or stamina limitations here.
There is No default bump damage, and enemies / other characters have collision, thank you.
There is also no tab targeting, as this is not WoW; you must line up your shots to hit your enemy; in general, if you can see it, you can hit it; love it!
You can parry attacks if you wish, but I find dodge rolling around out of crowd control effects / PBAOEs very helpful and more reliable.
After each fight, hp heals quickly, encouraging little down time and pushing the player forward toward more exploration and the next encounter; you won’t be mulching on food / water after every pull like some MMOs would make you.

The Boss Fights here are fun and intense, greatly encouraging mobility; keep moving hero!
Dungeons of Sundaria uses a checkpoint system, so if you die, you respawn right back at the last one visited in that dungeon with all your gear, except used potions; very generous.
So, while some might find Dungeons of Sundaria fast and tough, particularly if they’re used to the more glacial paced MMOs, death is not very punishing here, so you can try again, or go hit another dungeon to get better loot and lvls to try again later.

Local Co-op multiplayer is present, as is Online Co-op up to 4 players, in case that is something that interests you.

Controller support is present; as is good old mouse and keyboard.
Gamepad control works well here, but I found mouse and keyboard offered more precision, and it’s more what I’m use to in 3rd person ARPGs, so that’s what I rolled with here.

Note: This is an Early Access look at Dungeons of Sundaria, so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Dungeons of Sundaria is a fast and fun Arcade ARPG with truly enormous, immersive dungeons that feel great to blast you way through, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
