Immediately after the announcement of Ubuntu 23.04 codenamed “Lunar Lobster” , it was announced that development of Ubuntu 23.10 codenamed “Mantic Minotaur” is now officially opened. Graham Inggs, who made this announcement; He said they are happy to announce that development of Ubuntu 23.10 codenamed “Mantic Minotaur” is now open. Inggs stating that automatic synchronization is enabled and will work soon; as always, this is initially said to expect a large build and autopkg test flow. Stating that this is a period that will cause delays, Inggs; said they expect the user to help fix any breakage. Inggs; Here is the release schedule for Ubuntu 23.10 codenamed “Mantic Minotaur” for changes and all milestone datesstates that it is. It is stated that Ubuntu 23.10 is planned to be available on October 12, 2023. It is stated that for the system to be available on October 12, features must be frozen first, followed by Ubuntu 23.10 beta releases in mid-August, then in September.
Ubuntu 23.10 is expected to migrate to Dbus-Broker, use the GNOME 45 desktop, possibly use the Linux 6.5 kernel and Mesa 23.2 for the latest open source graphics drivers, upgrade to the major GCC 13 compiler update.
