Spells & Secrets is an Indie, Isometric Action Roguelike / Roguelite Dungeon Crawler all about casting spells with your wand as you blast and magic toss your foes around the Random Dungeons; it’s good!
Become the wizard wand twirler extraordinaire of your dreams, pig Latin optional!
In Spells & Secrets, you’re a wizard, not a warrior, so your focus is all about which spell to use to defeat each of your many foes, and Spells & Secrets is all about the spells!

The Spells:
The star of Spells & Secrets is the interactions of the spells, as you can freeze enemies to the floor with a concentrated blast of cold, then shatter them with a blast of force, slamming them into a for wall massive damage!
Or use telekinesis to reposition a charging monster so it slams face first into a fountain, knocking them down, and making them very vulnerable to damage, or quickly raising a shielding spell to do the same.
Or levitating an enemy out of cover so you can blast em down with a magic missile volley
Also, each enemy type seems to have a weakness to certain types spells, incentivizing the player to mix it up a bit when fighting certain foes.
In Spells & Secrets you feel like a wand twirling wizard, deftly employing the right spells to shut down your many foes as they scramble to defeat you; it feels good.

The Meta Progression:
Meta Progression is present in the form of learned spells, character experience, banked merchant credit, and unlocked upgrades.
While the within run progression is gold, potions, and artifacts, used to strengthen yourself for the current attempt at clearing the castle.
You can buy Auto Refilling potions to help to take down your foes, as well as Artifacts like an enchanted slingshot that lets you hurl objects fast enough to do damage with telekinesis and stun; it’s super fun tossing chairs and end tables around to beat your enemies senseless!
Or another that gives your magic missiles a chance to multiply on hit; Pew Pew Pew!
Or a magic piece of cheese, which instantly lets you assume your fast mouse form! It’s far more useful than it sounds!
Or you can electrify telekinetically held objects, shocking enemies nearby, or get a bouncy shield that knocks enemies back; so fun!

Controller support is present, as is good old mouse and keyboard; which I found controls better for me here.
Both Online Multiplayer and Local Co-op are present as well, in case you want to go at it with company.

Note: This is an early look at the demo for Spells & Secrets so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Spells & Secrets is a super fun wizard wand twirler Action Roguelite that makes you feel like a wizard, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
