ANOTHER Peninsula of Power?? (Final Fantasy II - SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
In Final Fantasy II for the SNES (also known as Final Fantasy IV for the Super Famicom) there's an area just north of Mt. Ordeals where - due to an enemy zoning error - you can fight high level foes from the Mithril and Toroia areas of the game. Normally, you're not supposed to encounter these enemies until much later on, making this spot ideal for level grinding once Cecil becomes a Paladin.
From the western side of Mt. Ordeals, head north and hug the coast west of the mountain range. Then head north along a narrow land bridge until you see an area with a small little triangle of land pointing north. That's where you can fight enemies from the Mithril and Toroia areas.
I recommend heading there just after Cecil becomes a Paladin. Bring many tents and cabins, and KO both Palom and Porom because they are the worst (and you don't want to share the EXP with them since they are only in your party temporarily).
Using Tellah's Fire 3 spell is a great way to wipe out enemy parties here, but you will need to use TENTs often to restore your MP.
There's a similar and far more notorious area in the original Final Fantasy on NES where you can fight VERY late-game enemies VERY early on. This area is known as the Peninsula of Power - https://youtube.com/shorts/WeGz-jVET-0?feature=share
