Get Silver Arrows WAY Early in Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #zelda
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES, there's a crazy glitch you can exploit in order to get the Silver Arrows way earlier than normal. It's not even that hard, and it allows you to one-shot most bosses since the Silver Arrows deal 100 damage to many enemies.
In order to pull this glitch off, you will need access to Death Mountain, which normally requires you to have the Power Glove. Also, you will need to walk into Hyrule Courtyard toward the end, so it's best if you haven't won the first Agahnim fight yet.
With these conditions met, start a game at the Mountain Cave, exit the cave, and head to the right. You might want to talk to the old man to restore your hearts first, because the falling rocks in this area are very cool and not at all annoying.
You'll find an area of ground that extends close to the bottom of your screen. here, position Link in the bottom right corner, just down and to the right of that tiny volcano thing. Face down and hold B to pull out your sword. While still holding B, press RIGHT and A at the same time, repeatedly. This is a technique called Dash Buffering, and it will move Link to the right one pixel at a time until he clips into the side of the cliff on the right.
Keep Dash Buffering until Link falls through the bottom of the screen and wraps around on the top. He should land someone on the same screen. If he travels somewhere kind of far to the left, start over and try again.
When you screen wrap, you'll notice the scenery hasn't changed, but the game thinks you're one tile to the north, so the collision detection will not match the graphics on the screen. Walk down and wrap from the bottom to the top of the screen one more time, then search the area just below you until the game teleports you to the dark world.
In the Dark World, walk down until you wrap from bottom to top TWO more times, then head to the left until you see a lighter patch of dirt. Use the Magic Mirror while standing on the left side of this patch to warp back to the Light World.
If you open your map, you'll see that we've confused the game so much that it thinks your Portal is somewhere in Hyrule Castle Courtyard. Now enter the Mountain Cave entrance, exit, and get bopped by rocks or enemies until you Game Over.
Chose to Save and Continue from Link's House (or SPOON's House in this case). Walk north to Hyrule Castle Courtyard, and you should find your Magic Mirror portal. Enter the portal from below, and if you did everything right, you will warp into the Mysterious Pond where you can upgrade your arrows to the Silver Arrows.
Normally, you would need to beat the Ice Palace in order to gain access to the Big Bomb at the bomb shop in the Dark World, then use the Big Bomb to blow open the side of the Pyramid before you could get Silver Arrows. But with this glitch, you can access Silver Arrows before you even collect the Master Sword.
The Silver Arrows can be used to one-shot a whole bunch of bosses, so try it!
