Production Notes:
Captured 3rd Oct 2020

When I installed console and computer emulators on my PC, only a few of them made use of my controller. Even with some PC games, like Far Cry and Crysis, they have no input options for game pads or other devices, and this made me look at the options out there. Eventually I found this package, a keyboard remapper, and it is something which has become essential. Of course, your game must be set up to use the keyboard, or your inputs from AntiMicro wont appear to do anything.

This video is something I've wanted to talk about for ages, but is something quite tricky to explain. I dont think I made a good job with explaining, but I cover the basics. Please dont ask me troubleshooting questions in the comments, Im not a master of this package, and only use the basics.

The footage of Crysis came out nice and smooth, with hardly any dropped frames, but for some reason Far Cry didnt capture too well, and seems stuttery. Both games play 100% smoothly on my machine usually. During Far Cry you can see the screen does a jump cut when I turn to look at the rusty barrel. This jump was on my machine, and wasnt the ripper in that case. But after crunching and compressing the video with HandBrake, the image and definition quality (as well as the colour palette) of Far Cry was completely muddied - leaving almost no crispness or definition. Thats why it looks like crap compared to the real thing.

The only limitations I found with this (so far) is when trying to emulator Wii controllers and remapping them, as you are converting analogue motion to digital, and its not perfect. Same with PS4 analogue triggers.

Bugs:
My microphone is echoing for some reason. I went through all the sound options after recording this so hopefully I fixed it.
