I have to wonder how the soldiers in this area do it. It's like every other encounter I have with them starts with them firing at my direction out of nowhere, I almost never get the chance to catch 'em first. There's occasional rare times where I did manage to get the drop on the soldiers, but then every other encounter since always has me losing health in the starting seconds.

Maybe I need to start cheesing encounters like I do tricky jumps. Feels a bit off spirit to do that, but if that kind of encounter start keeps up, I'll have to pull shenaniganery of my own.
