I have compiled video of every Ultima boot, intro, demo and title for the Apple II. This video runs from Akalabeth to Ultima V, including all remakes and official variants (no pirate junk here). Every disk image has been run on my 128KiB Apple //e using a wDrive. All disk images have been dumped (by others) from original disks in the .woz or .edd format to preserve their copy protection. The music is being output from my ReactiveMicro Phasor clone which I modified by bypassing the terribly designed original amplifier circuit. I am recording the Phasor through my PC motherboard's line in.

I recorded the Apple //e's speaker using a Zoom H1N binaural microphone which was generously donated to me by my friend Trixter. The Apple //e's case is sufficiently roomy that I put the H1N in it and run a flat USB cable out of the system with the lid closed. The H1N can function as a USB recording device and that is how I have it so I can record two audio sources with OBS. I found the recording to be far closer to what I hear from the system, even though the microphone is so sensitive that it will also pick up the "thunk" of the keyboard keys and the snap of the wDrive's buttons when pressed. You can also hear what is going on in the background at times too :) It certainly beats the awful Apple speaker input of the Phasor hands-down. Now you can enjoy Richard Garriott's fascination with white noise-based title screen sound effects!
