This educational game is a bona fide classic which needs no introduction. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego was an inspired way to teach geography and an all-around fun way to learn about other countries and peoples. Originally the game came with a thick World Almanac and Book of Facts, which you would use to lookup hints and clues for the game. Today Google and Wikipedia can serve as more than adequate substitutes for the unscanned Almanac. Here I play a round guided solely by my own knowledge and intuition.

This is the original version of the game released in 1985 by Broderbund. The game would be revised in 1989 with a more ProDOS oriented revision, but this is the version I played in school. The game would also be revised and re-released several times for more powerful platforms. The game would also receive a contemporaneous release for MS-DOS and use CGA composite color graphics that look very similar to the Apple II composite color graphics, but would later be re-released four separate times for the PC platform!
