In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be building around the power of basic attacks! I often build Rapidity 4 runs, but I always say during those runs that to make good Rapidity builds you need to rather than focus on your basic attack damage itself, focus on the fact that Rapidity 4's Combo attacks are considered basic damage. This is important, because that means they deal SKULL damage, and skull damage can crit unlike item damage. This means Rapidity 4 scales particularly well with crit items. However, recently I realized I hadn't played a raw basic attack damage run in forever, so I really ought to test this with the brand new Rapidity+ Enhanced Combos you get from enhancing that inscription, but built with raw basic attack damage in mind. This means Innate Power, as well as any of the basic damage amplifying curses if I'm so lucky to see them, as well as avoiding as much item damage as is reasonable to make sure almost all of my damage is coming from the basic attacks, so absolutely NO crit items. The skulls of choice are Werewolf and Minotaur, can these two show that basic attacks in and of themselves are a worthy and powerful archetype in Skul?
