In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using Gargoyle with Soar! Gargoyle is universally one of the least liked skulls in the game, and consistently gets rated the worst one. This is false, but I can understand how people could feel that way. He essentially has constant ice physics, which makes him hard to control. I've been a long time advocate for this character though, due to his i-frame swap as well as Petrify, which also gives him i-frames. However, this isn't as much about Gargoyle as it is about Soar. Soar is a bit of an odd inscription that centers around keeping your character in the air as much as possible. Soar 2 gives you 20% crit when you're airborn, and Soar 4 gives you 40% damage amplification when airborn. Both of these stats are actually quite good, but the problem is not a lot of skulls enjoy being airborn. Speed skulls enjoy it often due to their fast in-air basics, as well as Davy Jones and Gargoyle, who spend a ton of time attacking from the air, but outside of that it can be hard to use. There's not also a ton of high quality items for Soar like there are for, say, Chase. However, when built with the right skulls and strategies, can Soar pop off? That's what we're here to test, as well as Soar+! Joined by Rockstar, can these two bring home an easy, powerful victory?
