It's Tanktoberfest on Hexed & Countered as we continue with part 2 of a playthrough of "Armoured Commander II" - a PC game that is built on an adaptation of the old Avalon Hill classic "Patton's Best" but turns it up to 11 by adding a slew of campaigns that allow the player to command tanks from virtually every major combatant in the Second World War.

The playthrough here features the Operation Avalanche campaign as the U.S. Army. We'll command an M4 Sherman during the invasion of Italy, taking on the Wehrmacht in the fall of 1943 (and hopefully into the winter of '43-44).
