The Mean Machine, created to fight, his name is Springtron, a robotic clone of Spring Man, so he would technically be Spring Man's Echo Fighter in this game, otherwise known as clone character in most fighting games, as the term Echo Fighter wasn't used until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Springtron has similar abilities to Spring Man, the differences is that Springtron does not have the permanent charge that Spring Man has when under 25%, and if you fully charge, he will create a shockwave around him that disables any extending ARMS in his range, Springtron did first appear as a secret boss before being playable, in order to fight Springtron, you have to go through all nine matches without losing in a single round, and Springtron is insanely overpowered, it's like fighting a Legend Class Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with a Novice or Advance Class Spirit.
Springtron does not have any unique ARMS, he has the same starting ARMS as Spring Man, those being Toaster, Boomerang, and Tribolt, and if you play the Get ARMS minigame, any ARMS that Spring Man obtains, Springtron will also obtain. On ARMS Institute, the Wiki for ARMS, Springtron works well with Wind and Ice ARMS, some examples are Chilla, Popper, and Slamamander. When used correctly, Springtron is an unstoppable force, no wonder he only appears on Level 4 or higher in Grand Prix Mode, so it's like Giga Bowser in Super Smash Bros. Melee, where you had to go through Adventure Mode without any continues, and Giga Bowser was a very tough opponent, and another tough opponent was Master Core in Super Smash Bros. 4, where you had to go through his different forms, and some were very tough on a high difficulty level.
Springtron's home stage is Sparring Ring, just a basic stage which was used as an online lobby before starting a match online, and you would fight against those grey Helix-like creatures, just like with Sandbag in Smash Bros., this stage was available before Springtron was even added as a playable character, but it became his home stage once he was added in an update.
While Spring Man is already an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this doesn't deconfirm Springtron as a playable character, because what would a fighting game be, specially if one was made by Capcom, if Ken was playable and they didn't have Ryu in it. At least we are getting a Nintendo character as the first fighter in the second Fighters Pass DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and I could see Springtron being a possible choice, but his ability to disable attacks could be a counter which would stun opponents, because I can't think of many ways they could balance out Springtron compared to the rest of the cast.
