A member of the Royal Engineers has taken on a unique building project in memory of a colleague who died in Afghanistan.

Captain Doug Brain has been working with the Gurkha Welfare Scheme in Nepal for the last year, raising money in memory of Sapper Ishwol Gurung.

He is planning to redevelop the school where the soldier grew up and has already made enough money to build 4 new classrooms.
