Short clip of when I earned the Platinum Trophy in Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel on Playstation 3. Read more...

I saved a simple trophy (Deep Pockets; where you must "Buy all Weapons, Tattoos, Masks and Outfits.") for last so I could record it on my GS4.

I have always been a fan of the Army of Two games. They are, simply put, great "buddy" games that you can co-op with a friend.

The game starts you off pretty basic and takes you through a tutorial of sorts... they did a nice job of "hiding" the fact that it was a tutorial ;) I was however, immediately disappointed to see that Salem and Rios were redone from the 40th Day and had little to no resemblance.

The gameplay was a little loose for my taste and I had to tighten up the controls a bit from the options. I liked the adjustment and had no issues the rest of the game. The controls were fairly intuitive (consistent with other shooters in button layout) and made it that much easier to enjoy the story right from the start rather than trying to figure out what button does what, haha. I do have to mention the cover system though. There were a few times that you and your partner must take cover on the same object (or dual door breaches) where the game gets goofy and fights you a bit... that got annoying; the way to avoid this is to let one person take position while the other stays back... once the first person is settled, move in and take your position... you just can't rush it, I guess.

The story was entertaining and the constant banter between Alpha and Bravo (the protagonists) was quite humorous. There were several moments throughout the game where I just laughed at something that was said in-game.

The connectivity and chat were pretty good. My co-op partner and I had almost no issues with connecting to each other or lag. There were the occasional spots/times but, nothing to write home about.

The difficulty was not all that bad. We actually seemed to struggle more on our Normal run than the Insane one :\ There were a few times (taking out MMGs) that we had to strategize a bit but, we mostly dominated the game. A quick word of advice... make sure that you and your co-op partner both set the difficulty to Insane. The host does not control the setting... you both have to set your own difficulty... learned that the hard way :(

The trophy list was straight to the point and required little focus. Most of the trophies can be achieved without even thinking about them. Some minor grinding with be needed to purchase everything but, that's a pretty small price to pay since the game is loads of fun (for me, anyway).

I'd like to shout out to my co-op partner Rowdi1 for making this game even better than it already was. Thank you!
