Short clip of when I earned the Platinum Trophy in Grand Theft Auto V on Playstation 3. Read more...

I saved a simple trophy (Out of Your Depth; where you must "Get eaten by a shark") for last so I could record it on my GS4.

My new favorite game on the PS3. Rockstar really overdid themselves on this installment of the GTA series IMO. The single player was phenomenal (minus glitches that cause missions to stop spawning or disappear). The variety of missions was over the top! You really can't get bored of doing the same type of mission over and over because each mission had something unique that you had not done before. The open world was unbelievable to explore. There is a plethora of locations to explore and activities to take part in - from subterranean and underwater to rocking through the skies.

I feel they took all the good portions of past games and incorporated them into this game's gameplay. The mechanics were awesome and everything felt fluid. The graphics were surprisingly fantastic... the detail on the characters was great enough that I felt like this could have been a next-gen game.

The most unique feature of this open world third-person game was the 3 protagonists. Being able to jump from one character to the other at any point blew my mind. Several missions incorporated this feature as a mandatory one for progression and it really added to the experience. I seriously laughed out loud several times when switching over to Trevor... the places and activities he went and did while not under your control were hysterical. Franklin seemed to be the main character of the three but, there was no obvious favoritism for his character (other than only his Strangers & Freaks missions counted toward the 100%).

The multiplayer was interesting and not overly difficult. Unfortunately, most of the awesome features that were boasted in the teasers/trailers were not available in the game yet. The launch missions and activities were numerous but, very monotonous at the same time. The objective seemed to always be the same thing... "Travel to location A, kill thugs defending an object, steal the object, and deliver the object to point B." - a little lack luster if you ask me.

Overall, I was very pleased with the game. If you have not been a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, this game may just change your mind. Yes, It's that good.

Platinum Difficulty: 5/10
Overall Enjoyment: 10/10
