Short clip of when I earned the Platinum Trophy in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on Playstation 3. Read more...

I saved a simple trophy (Ride the Crocodile; where you must "Stand on the crocodile in the Secret Library.") for last so I could record it on my iPhone.

Naughty Dog strikes again with this addition to the ever popular Uncharted series. In this game, you get much more backstory on Nate & Sully. The quest continues with a couple familiar faces and takes you through all new gameplay and mission styles. There were interesting additions to the action (not unlike the Vita's version, 'Golden Abyss') where you perform short QTEs a lot.

The controls seemed really restricted at first and this is one of the first games I have ever needed to crank up the sensitivity setting to the max. There were also a ton of new "realistic" movements added to the characters during normal walking/running segments whereby they would scratch their heads and reach out toward walls and such to brace themselves. It was an interesting addition but, not quite implemented perfectly... it was actually annoying in a few cases because it seemed to interfere with your intended movement.

As far as the difficulty goes, this game's 'Crushing' difficulty was probably the easiest of the series so far. There were no major 'boss' battles however, there were a few elite enemies during a few fights that took a few attempts. The difficulties stack but, Crushing is not available from the start; the good news is you can beat the game on any difficulty to unlock Crushing. This leaves you with a choice to simply enjoy the game on a lesser difficulty and soak up the story without the major frustration of dying all the time.

The trophies were all very simple and straightforward. There were the typical treasure collectibles and kill x enemies with y gun requirements with a couple odd balls thrown in. There were only 2 multiplayer trophies for the main game and they simply required you to "check out" the multiplayer system (almost identical to Uncharted 2's trophies).

I would highly recommend this game. Be warned however, there are a ton of DLC trophies for multiplayer. If you are a completionist, like me, you will be in for a long haul to get the 100%.

Platinum Difficulty: 4/10
