I really wanted to like this game, it's got beautiful minimalist graphics and an astoundingly deep selection of classic rally cars (including many never-raced prototypes, though none officially licensed). There are a range of varied locations (with more to come as DLC) and the sound/music is good (though the latter is switched off here).

So, what's wrong? The handling. It's hard to describe, but many of the cars turn in really rapidly, leading me to cut the inside of corners, rather than go too wide/spin out. I tried keyboard, Xbox 360 controller and steering wheel, and fiddled with all the settings, but it still felt just not as much fun as I hoped it would be :-(

Additionally, the Group A cars (Impreza/Celica/Lancer/Delta/Escort) are also listed as having 800+hp, which is unrealistic (I assume so that they are the top cars in the game).

Overall, I'd say try the demo of this, to see if you get on with it or not. It has plenty of fans who love it, so perhaps with the right car it might be a bit more fun to play, but for me it was unhappily frustrating.
