[AS2R] SAGE 22 Demo Title Screen - Another Sonic 2 Remake
8Animation and I have a funny relationship. It is hard. Especially complex character movements. Please forgive some messiness and moving pixels, I can do "Miles" better in the future. But this is the title screen and the music I am using for the SAGE 22 demo. Nothing here is final. The music was taken from Dr Mack Foxx's piano cover album for Sonic 2. I couldn't find any remixes of the title theme that matched the version in my head, so since some of his covers are already in the game, and the piano gives it that extra "hand crafted" feel, I chose this one for now.
The Island in the background is an original island that was designed in collaboration with my friend Tom Edwards. Since putting two versions of Green Hill on the same island, and future games showing Green Hill doesn't become Mecha Green Hill, and just being crammed with too many zones, I decided to take the creative liberty of setting the main campaign on a new Island. We call it, "North East Island". I hope you forgive this change. The game will still begin on South Island as the original manual states however.
There is evidence to support the idea that this game could take place on Mirage Island, the setting of Sonic CD's intro. What do you think?
