Roma, Italy 1503, Ezio speaks with a courtesan who informs him of three ambassadors who are due to meet with the pope. Ezio tracks them down and takes them out. The next task he has is to watch over one of the courtesans who is due to meet with her client and she suspects he is going to ask her to provide information and to protect her which Ezio does.

Ezio returns to the Rosa in Fiore to speak with his mother who is talking with Egidio Troche, he tells him that the news of Borgia's decline will soon reach Cesare and that Ezio should prevent that from happening.

A flashback to 1489 in Firenze shows the moment that Cristina is fatally wounded, she tells Ezio that she wished they had a second chance before passing away.

Back in Roma, Ezio is taking on the last few assassination contracts and keeping the Borgia on the backfoot.
