Roma, Italy 1503, Cesare has returned to Roma now that it has become clear he has lost support from the French, has no funds and his father the pope is no longer assisting him. Cesare still has the Apple of Eden though and is therefore a major threat.
Ezio enters a lair protected by the followers of Romulus, he tails a cardinal and hears the meeting between him and the followers, Ezio approaches the cardinal who runs, Ezio gives chase and eventually corners and kills him, Ezio opens the gate and gets access to the shrine of Romulus and retrieves the scroll.
Ezio then uses poison to eliminate another corrupt cardinal before taking on another tasks to rid the Borgia of their newly trained Papal guards. He then spends the rest of the time completing a cluster and removing Borgia flags.
