Assassin's Creed: Syndicate – Glitch Package (Part 1)
Glitches in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate!
Most of the glitches in this video are related to the 'Hostage break-out' glitch. Most of this is footage from the other day, I've still got more gear to get and much more testing to exhaust.
Points of interest:
1.Firstly, I showed some regular actions, but with the Hostage break-out active. Some results:
(a) Leap of Faith – The enemy simply follows you down.
(b) Entering a carriage and being forced to exit (due to alert enemies around) – Can cause you to drop through the map. I showed some sightseeing.
*SPOILER* This may come in handy, since there are some actual game-play areas under the map. *SPOILER END*
(c) Diving – At some areas, your character does their dive without actually going anywhere. They look to be swimming in air for a moment, but seems harmless. (?)
(d) Kidnapping – This lets you kidnap two characters at the same time.
(e) Ferry movement (and Carriages) can end the Hostage glitched-state. I caused a Ferry to end the state over water, the enemy does his fall-animation while staying in place.
(f) I showed a harmless anti-gravity glitch near a ledge. Running against the sides of ledges with the Hostage glitch, can let you do a very limited, unstable Airwalk.
(g) In a previous vid, I showed that hanging from a ledge with the Hostage glitch active, causes you to very slowly drift through the air. So I tried it with a Carriage and Train, with some more extreme consequences. Note: Depending on which side you ledge-grab, will give varying results.
Carriage ledge drift (on its side): this can cause you to eventually zip all around town while rising in mid-air, simply by moving the camera (like some glitchy Mary Poppins). I then left the map to see what would happen (de-sync).
Train ledge drift (on its rear): you zoom through all the collision around the map.
(h) If you end the Hostage break-out state while at a high area, the enemy will Airwalk endlessly. I showed footage of an enemy being shot down.
2.I show what I call the 'Enemy exorcism glitch' and it is done as follows:
(a) Firstly, set-up the Hostage glitch and then switch characters. This causes your enemy start harmlessly wandering around. However, the enemy starts to slither around if you aim your gun at them.
A normal routine of the enemy in this state, is to slither around and then repeatedly shoot up into the sky, before returning to their original position. Sometimes the enemy can turn into a blob of graphics, dripping from the sky.
I didn't show it in the vid, but you lose track of where they are, and as you continue playing normally...they suddenly appear staring at you deformed in some corner, providing jump scares during regular game-play...
This is about the most that the enemy will do during this state, however...
(b) If you then run the enemy over with a carriage, the enemy becomes 'alerted' to you. They enter a combined state between 'attacking' and the immobile state of being 'held hostage'. Most commonly, the enemy's body starts to contort into random nightmarish shapes, in a failed effort to attack you.
It's common for the enemy to actually break free from their body, and you end up being chased around by an attacking soul. I've yet to test what happens if you try to kidnap a soul, or other normal interactions (or with the distorted body) asides from combat, which I showed in this vid.
You can fight and kill the enemy's soul and even do finishing moves with them.
