I found this Sky Jump glitch location a while ago, but I hadn't explored it much until now.

With it, it's possible to skip Hermes (+boots) and a lot of navigation and battles on the way during a New Game. However, there are some massive obvious downsides to all this.

If you want to learn all the glitches, skips and glitch-techniques that my colleagues and I have found in this game. You can check-out our GoWIII Glitch FAQ: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/943928-god-of-war-iii/faqs/59988

1. In a speedrun, you'd miss many skips and speedy navigation without the boots.

2. You most likely get stuck at Hephaestus, and it's unlikely you can skip Cronos without the boots. (If you could, perhaps this skip is viable?).

I've not yet played on during a New Game after skipping the boots, but I'll do it for the sake of science, but I'm not expecting anything other than getting stuck...

On a related note, I've discovered something new (?) about the levitation glitch (aka "Sky Jump") which you may have noticed in the video.

Firstly, doing a Sky Jump at this location doesn't give you enough forward momentum to get you to the Upper Chamber of the Flame.

But if you do Unending Sorrow followed by switching to blades during a Sky Jump (then spamming jump?), you get - at least - these new effects:

1. Kratos seemingly can get a second boost of levitation-momentum, including providing (or increasing) forward momentum to a Sky Jump which otherwise may have none, or very little (like at this location).

2. He can start to rise up in an odd "Crouching Pose". This "Crouched levitation" works slightly different to regular levitation. Unlike regular levitation, which results in death after a certain amount of time, Crouched levitation is immune from this time limit-death. You can rise, or move forward forever.

Crouched levitation seems sturdier than regular levitation, in that the state doesn't seem as easily broken-out of, as regular levitation. You can also seem to change directions more easily.

You can also continue with a regular levitation, if you choose to end the Crouching levitation.

This glitch deserves some more in-depth investigation.

Untested on PS4 at this date.
