Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - Passive Enemy Stealth Exploit (And other glitches Part 1)
Passive Enemy Stealth Exploit in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
I only just found this glitch now, so just a quick, random vid since I've had barely any time to test it properly.
Points of Interest:
1. The devs have tried to stop you from switching gear mid-actions by bringing up a small screen telling you that you can't. This small screen doesn't let you progress to the 'Inventory Screen'.
But you can bypass that small screen by firstly putting the selector on the menu title called 'Skills', then press the button to select 'Skills' but a split-second later move the selector to 'Inventory'...and bingo.
You can enter the Inventory and change gear at any moment during the game.
2. Switching gear causes break-outs when done during some action. From testing so far, you can manage to break-out of any action, with some pretty interesting consequences after minor testing, only some of which are in this vid.
These are preliminary tests, so it will be interesting to see what else can be done with this glitch.
3. This glitch is nearly the same as the break-out glitch that I found in Assassin's Creed IV, but this one can be easily done, anytime, anywhere.
4. I showed some break-outs, with the following results:
(a) As-per the title of my vid, you can make enemies not attack you. Meaning that you can defeat all areas with Impunity, good for speedrunning?
Why don't the enemies properly detect you? My theory - and the reason that I chose to break-out of the carriage initially - was in hope that I could 'keep' the hidden-state of being in the carriage...but while being outside. And I suspect this may be the reason for the stealth.
(b) During combat you can freeze in place, and enemies stop detecting you.
(c) Hijacking a carriage so far gives two results. One is that the passenger gets thrown out instead of the driver, but the game thinks that the driver is no longer there, so you can sit on him. If you shoot the driver, he flies up into the air for some reason.
Result two is that the horse starts running backwards.
(d) Holding a hostage (with their arm behind their back) has given two results. One result is that you completely break free from holding, and the enemy stays in place with their arm behind their back.
The second result is that you enter a combined glitched-state, between holding the hostage and your normal state.
I showed a bunch of normal actions done with the hostage permanently stuck to me. One result I found most interesting was when I used a zip line prompt in this state, you drop out-of-bounds.
The other interesting glitch, is that hanging from ledges in this state allows you to drift endlessly in some direction, while floating in air.
And the swimming is a right laugh.
Again, I've only just started to test this game so expect more in the coming weeks...
