Aubergine run: 1P (Dark Embryo 0-knockdown win)


So... although I've defeated Dark Embryo without getting knocked down before, I think this is the first time I've defeated both Dark Embryo and the Daily that included him without a single knockdown! =)

For those of you who don't know about Dark Embryo, he's basically a more powerful version of Embryo: Dark Embryo is faster, fires more bullets and rockets, and has more health than normal Embryo. He appears on Layer 32 of Infinity Drive, as well as occasionally (randomly) in Daily Drive.

Anyway, I actually had a perfect Chain going in this Daily... until Dark Embryo broke the chain (with the amount of extra health (and extra attacks!) he has, it's pretty easy to lose the Chain against Dark Embryo). =p Other than that, though, I'm pretty happy with how this run turned out. =)

3:55 Collider BGM! IMO Jeff van Dyck did a great job with all of the music, but I really like some of the things he did with this piece. =)
5:04 Layer 10: Dark Embryo
5:19 Was going for the battery, and accidentally grabbed the Shutdown. =/
5:36 Longest chain ends (729) due to time. I was kind of expecting it to happen in Phase 5 (which I still haven't figured out a reliably decent strategy for) anyway, but... ah well. =p
6:50 0-knockdown win! =)
