For anybody who's interested in custom Cadences (or other characters), the official NecroDancer FAQ has some info about creating custom characters, and even has a link to the pinned thread on the official forums, where people have posted some of their custom creations:

So... a little more practice, a little more luck, and... somehow (after many many failures), I managed to beat 9 minutes! =) And here it is... hope you enjoy!
The Zone 1 mini-bosses and boss I encountered during this run were:
- Minotaur, Gray Direbat, Red Dragon, and King Conga 1.
The Zone 2 mini-bosses and boss I encountered during this run were:
- Gray Direbat, Green Banshee, Blood Nightmare, and Coral Riff 2.
The Zone 3 mini-bosses and boss I encountered during this run were:
- Nightmare, Blue Dragon, Green Banshee, and Death Metal 3.
The Zone 4 mini-bosses and bosses I encountered during this run were:
- Blood Nightmare, Red Dragon, Ogre, and The NecroDancer 2.

0:07 Zone 1, Level 1
0:14 First coin multiplier l-- Oh wait, haven't killed anything yet, so no coin multipler to lose yet. =)
0:14 Mini-boss: Minotaur

0:42 First coin multiplier lost (missed beat). I'm not sure exactly what happened. I think maybe I overcompensated for the music slowing down. Either that, or I just made a careless error; there were definitely a number of those during this run. =p

3:44 Ring of Mana! Probably a bad decision, because I tend to forget to use my spells, but with the Heavy Plate, four health, and cheese, I figured I probably had enough health to last the rest of the run... so that's why I swapped out the Ring of Regeneration for the Ring of Mana here. ^^;
3:48 First damage taken (Ice Elemental). Ow! Uh, maybe I shouldn't have gotten rid of the Ring of Regeneration... =p

4:31 Mini-boss: Blue Dragon. A lot less room than I like for a Blue Dragon fight. =p Somehow managed to defeat it without getting damaged, though. =)
