Assault Android Cactus: (Mega Railgun) Shiitake vs. (VPC4) Convection S+
Assault Android Cactus (PC/Steam)
Version 150922d (2015 Sep 22)
Stage 5-3: Convection
4P Virtual Player Count + Mega Weapons
S+ run using Shiitake
So I decided to take a little break from Liquorice by taking a closer look at another of the new additions to the game: Mega Weapons! And what better place to test out what they're capable of than in a frenetic "sink or swim" environment? So I decided to try them out on VPC4 Convection, figuring that if there were any significant weaknesses (or strengths) to using the Mega Weapons, VPC4 Convection would probably reveal them fairly quickly. =)
Based on what I've seen so far... it looks like the Witch Beam team did a pretty good job of balancing the Mega Weapons. Of course, since the Mega Weapons do replace your character's normal Secondary weapon... and since each character's playstyle was balanced according to that specific Primary+Secondary combination... using a Mega Weapon means you're going to have to play your character differently (sometimes quite differently!) than normal.
Shiitake's Mega Railgun... took a while to get used to, mainly because Shiitake's normal playstyle is so highly dependent upon her mines. ^^; Also, despite the fact that a single shot from the Mega Railgun looks pretty much the same as a Level 1 shot from the normal Railgun... the Mega Railgun shot is actually slightly weaker (which doesn't really matter against low-health enemies, but can make a difference against high-health enemies). So that took some getting used to as well. Of course, the Mega Railgun does make up for its weaker shot strength by having a lot more shots, a lot more quickly... so it definitely can be quite useful, as you'll see in this video. =)
Anyway, here's my first ever Mega Weapon Shiitake vs. VPC4 Convection S+... hope you enjoy!
