In which I play "Alphabet Zoo", published in 1983 by Spinnaker Software, and programmed by Dale Disharoon and Bill Groetzinger.

This is a lovely game aimed at early school-aged children which contains a couple of maze-based alphabet-oriented activities. Game one is about identifying the starting letter of the thing pictured in the centre of the maze, and for a variety of difficulty there is the option of upper-, lower-, and mixed-case letters. Game two is harder in that the player is asked to spell the thing pictured. The longest number of letters that I was presented with was five.

I could see this being reasonably absorbing for a child, for a little while, at least.
