In which I play "Danger Ranger", published in 1984 by Microdeal, and programmed for the Atari by either Rita Jay (according to the title screen), or Keith Wood (according to Atari Mania).
This game is merely ... okay. It's slow-moving. Graphics aren't bad, but lack any real flair. Sound is as sparse as can be, and is missing some very obvious candidates for a sound effect, jumping, for example, or falling.
There's not a lot of challenge to be had here, and not a lot of enjoyment either, I'm afraid. It's merely okay. Younger children might get a bit more out of it, but I suspect they'd get bored with it relatively quickly as well.
