In which I play "MyChess II" published in 1984 by Datamost Inc. The program was written by David Kittinger and Walter Hochbrueckner. It allows you to switch between a 2D and a 3D view of the chess board and play the game out against a computer opponent, another human, or have the computer play itself. Although I didn't explore it at all, there is a library of classic games on the disk that you can study and, I'm pretty sure, run forward and backward.

I got trounced by the easiest difficulty setting of the game, which is not much of a surprise really. I've not played that much chess in my life, and even when I flirted with taking it seriously as a teen, I didn't put in the work to get very good. Even that level of mediocrity, my friends, was a long long time ago. ;-)
