Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Tetris-T
4In which I play the brand-new game "Tetris-T" published by Zdenda, and written by the talented and prolific Zdeněk Zubr, with music by Marek Pešout.
This is a decent Tetris game with a couple of twists. Unlike most, the tetrominoes slide from left to right, which is a better layout for a 4x3 screen; all my years of playing Tetris with a vertical orientation make that a challenging transition. The other twist is that you have "lives", of a sort, which are represented by five bombs that you can use to clear the board entirely.
It's an enjoyable game with a minor quibble or two. It's really great to have good quality software being written for the Atari computers after all these years.
