4In which I play "Panther", published in 1987 by Mastertronic and Sculptured Software, and programmed by Chuck Peavey. Wow, what a game this is. The diagonal screen scrolling is uncommon in games, and it is done really nicely here. The game concept is straightforward - rescue survivors from bunkers, and shoot down waves of enemy fighters.
Once I got to grips with the controls, which didn't take long, I found this to be very engaging and a ton of fun. I have really missed out by not playing this game before now!
