In which I play "Storm: Part 1" released by Mastertronic in 1986, and programmed by Jim Baguley. Music is by David Whittaker. This is another take on a Gauntlet-style game. (I say "Gauntlet" because Dandy will be less well known.)
I like the graphics. The sound is fine but minimal. The atmospheric text is a nice touch, and maybe should be paid attention to in order to aid solving the puzzles. Control is a bit of a headache with things being multiplexed onto the joystick. I think a better choice might have been to use the keyboard for certain functions.
Something to keep in mind is that this is also a 2-player game, and I think it would have been a much better experience with two players.
