Atomicrops Is The Baby Of Stardew Valley And Enter The Gungeon | Gamescom Gameplay Walkthrough
Atomicrops is a roguelike and a farming simulator all mashed up into one. Think Stardew Valley and Enter The Gungeon and imagine they had a baby. Atomicrops is one of the most vibrant games we saw at Gamescom 2019, so here is a walkthrough of the Atomicrops gameplay and the things we saw during our time with it. Thanks to Logitech G and the G432 7.1 Surround Sound gaming headset for sponsoring this video. Check out the tech behind the G432 over on the Logitech G site: http://bit.ly/2FkTkbi
In this Atimicrops gameplay you’ll see the basics unfold: farm to make money, there’s some guns you can shoot, and you’ll be able to discover various items in the world. This Atomicrops demo shows the starting area, where golden beans are the Atomicrops currency. We also see a quick look at the Atomicrops weapons: you’ll see us buy one of two guns: one’s a flying squirrel, yes, you read that right, and the other is a sniper rifle. The flying squirrel will make your enemies drop seeds, and the rifle is just your standard sniper rifle.
Atomicrops NPCs are called Strangers, but you’ll get to know them better and eventually buy things from them using roses - a harvestable plant. Speaking of harvesting, Atomicrops also has a little hint of Harvest Moon - you can marry some of these strangers after you get to know them a little better. There are different regions in Atomicrops: grasslands where it’s better for you to be early on in the game, and desserts where it’s a little bit tougher to survive.
There are enemies in Atomicrops, they will be guarding various camps and will be guarding different items. Pigs, cows, and other modifiers, are all things that can be found in these camps. Atomicrops is essentially: wake up, plant crops, collect seeds, defend crops, sell crops, buy more stuff. But don’t be fooled - Atomicrops is definitely not relaxing, and will probably appeal to those who prefer games like Enter The Gungeon, than Stardew Valley.
