Ghostrunner is set in a cyberpunk world where humanity has been driven into a tower and the cruel elites are living it up in the floors above. You are the titular Ghost runner and you’re trying to get up with a mix of parkour and sword slices that plays like Mirror’s Edge meets Superhot, all wall running meets slow motion bullet dodging. This Ghsotrunner demo takes you through the tutorial, where Matthew explains how it feels to pilot a cyber ninja, and explains how the wider game will work - sounds like the devs are dabbling with Metroidvania elements, which could be very cool, and we love the sound of new toys like the grappling hook. It'll look ever better with Nvidia RTX ray tracing gubbins, to boot. Very cyberpunk indeed.

The Ghostrunner trailer was an early surprise at Gamescom 2019, and it’s nice the game lives up to that promise.
