Animal Escapes, Poop Problems And 7 More Planet Zoo Features You'll Love
188Planet Zoo is basically a new Zoo Tycoon, but with all the features we loved from Planet Coaster. In this new Planet Zoo gameplay, taken from the Planet Zoo Gamescom demo, we look at our new favourite features, from animal escapes to solving poop problems. Planet Zoo release date is 5 November, so not too long to wait now.

If you’ve been waiting to see some Planet Zoo PC gameplay and to have a better look at the animals, then this video is for you. These are early Planet Zoo impressions, as we’ve only seen the alpha build at Gamescom this year, but the Planet Zoo beta is out very very soon. This isn’t a Planet Zoo review, but this should give you a good idea of what you can expect when Planet Zoo is released on 5 November. We’ll hopefully have a Planet Zoo PC review by then.
This video goes through our favourite Planet Zoo features, and no - it’s not all entirely centered around poop and animals, but let’s be honest - the animals are a pretty big part of it. You’ll be able to see how to trade animals in Planet Zoo, how to sort out enclosures to keep animals happy, and most importantly, how to pick up poop. Some of this will be familiar to fans of Jurassic World Evolution, some of it is straight out of Planet Coaster - it’s not just a straight new Zoo Tycoon with a different name. Of course, with Planet Zoo animal escapes, they aren’t quite as scary as Jurassic World’s.
This is Planet Zoo PC gameplay, and we think you’ll agree it looks pretty stunning, right down to the water volumetrics and those blades of grass wafting in the wind. The stark contrast between the very realistic looking animals and those cartoony looking humans, just goes to show how much thought, love, and research has gone into making this game be as true to the real animals as possible.
