Augmented Reality Card Game for Two Players - Speedy (Android)
In this video, I review a card game called Speedy, which is quite similar to the game speed. IIt's a great card game, probably one of the most visually appealing and entertaining AR card games on both the app store (Android) and google play (iOS: iPhone/iPad).
This Android version had some issues with the controls, which I haven't experienced in iOS, not to that degree. That being said, you might not experience the same things. The game itself is fun to play because both players play it simultaneously., not turn-by-turn. So it's all about who puts the card first.
This is how I want augmented reality/Mixed Reality card games to be made, it's just a fascinating way to play a card game, feels quite realistic but with an AR magical touch.
You can play this AR card game versus another player on the same device (local multiplayer). I personally recommend playing it on a tablet rather than on a small phone, because you need places for both player's hands.
Update 12/24/2018: The problem with the postioning of the card, I think it is related to the way I was playing, relatively in low angle. To place a card, you need to drag it and release when your finger iss on top of the ther card. When I played later with a view from the top and smaller size (less swipe travel) it worked much better.
