The next tournament in the Average Stats Unlimited Series is here! This tournament was highly requested since the mastery skills in this game are very overpowered, which meant that many of the fights are just down to whether a unit procs it or not. So, people really wanted to see what would happen when there were no mastery skills available for anyone at all. However, since a lot of the fights would just be a raw stat check and many units would be very much favored because of how bulky they are, I decided to give some extra skills/stats to all of the units in the tournament. In addition, I also opted to not use any units that were particularly high in Def or Res (Units like Aran [Def] or Kurthnaga [Res]). These units were ineligible for participation.

The way that I've balanced the no mastery skills thing is by giving the units stats/skills based on what their mastery skill is and how good it is. So, a mastery like Astra would give +5 Spd while a mastery like Colossus would give +5 Str; stuff along those lines. As for skills, me and my discord went through the mastery skills and ranked them on a tier list based on how good they are in this series. Meaning, the better the skill in in this series, the more points the unit with that skill will have for purchasing non-mastery skills. So, a mastery like Lethality, that is always a one-shot, will give more points compared to a mastery like Ire, which is just a glorified crit. They then purchase skills up to the points that they have from a list of skills that me and my discord also ranked based on how good they are in this series. However, the rankings for the non-mastery skills are based on a format where there are no mastery skills available. So, a skill like Wrath, which normally is quite low on a normal tier list for the regular format, is quite high in this one since Crits are practically the mastery skills now. The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
