So next we have our water level. Although the water doesn't actually come into play until the second part of the stage. The first part involves these portals that will send you to other areas. Their invisible until you actually get sucked into them, so it's not exactly obvious they're there. If you manage to take the right path, you can avoid most of them. Once you reach the second part though, it becomes a race to the top as seawater starts rising from the bottom of the screen, and naturally, lightning and water don't mix. If you try to use your lightning powers while submerged, you will overload instantly and won't be able to use anything until your meter recharges.

At the end of all this is Merak, a real lazy bastard who fights you from his fancy chair. He thinks with portals as a lot of attacks involve him sending them through portals where the exit is aimed at you. Biggest example of this is his signature move Lazy Laser, where he fires a big laser into a portal that will come in and out of multiple portals aimed at your position. Where you decide to go to avoid these will determine if this is avoidable as the old paths stick around for the entire attack. __
