Bachmann 32-817 | Class 47 Diesel Locomotive | 47745 | RES Parcels | OO Gauge | Review | HD
My second model train review to come of June 2014 and yet its another fantastic Diesel Locomotive that is also another favourite of mine (remember the Class 60 is my number one favourite). This is a review of the brand new 2013 model of the Class 47 Diesel Locomotive in the colourful British Rail RES Parcels livery and this locomotive would fit perfectly with the matching GUV vans that Bachmann also make. The model is numbered as 47745 and does come with etched nameplates that I kind of botched when I fitted them as I used the wrong glue. The model has a 21-pin DCC interface and this model is sound ready as it comes with a baffle box for the speaker, should you wish to add DCC sound into this model. The model also has working directional lights and working cab lights as well. There is switches on the underside of the fuel that can disable the cab lights and the tail lights if required by the user. Performance is excellent once the locomotive has been ran in as the model is fairly quiet when running. The accessories included with this locomotive are bufferbeam detail parts, two air dams and a baffle box for a DCC sound speaker. Excellent model from Bachmann all around and I would recommend this model if you into the modern era.
Overall Rating: 10/10.
