Back to the Future Part III (Master System) Playthrough [4K]
"Back to the Future Part III" for the Sega Master System is a video game adaptation of the third installment in the popular "Back to the Future" film series. Developed by Probe and released in 1991, coinciding with the film's release.
In the first level, players control Doc Brown as he rides a horse, desperately trying to catch up with his love interest, Clara Clayton, before she plummets into a ravine. Doc wields his gun, ducks or pick up objects for bonus points. The level's fast pace makes it a challenging level. The second level has Marty McFly engaging in a segment where pies are used to defeat Buford Tannen's gang.
The last level is a platforming sequence, where Marty traverses a train, collecting speed logs essential for reaching the crucial speed threshold. Along the way, players must fend off adversaries and evade obstacles like hooks or steam clouds.
Overall, "Back to the Future Part III" is a lackluster adaptation, characterized by shallow gameplay, subpar visuals, and uninspired design choices. Despite its efforts to replicate the movie experience, all levels with their distinct gameplay types fail in their execution, and the game is incredibly short.
