We finally chase down the heavily pierced illusionary killer that has been haunting our cutscenes for most of the game. With a combination of burning wood, loaded M14 rifles, metal sticks, and amateur dentistry, we manage to close the case and bring an end to the nightmare that was playing this game. I mean, I'm sure it was great back in 2005, but it really does not hold up IMO.

Condemned: Criminal Origins is a 2005 Xbox 360 launch title from F.E.A.R. creators Monolith. Playing the role of Ethan Thomas of the FBI, you investigate a rise in serial killer cases and violent outbursts, which may be connected to the mysterious deaths of local birds in large numbers, all while experiencing visions that let you see a glimpse into the minds and actions of the killers you're chasing. A first person game with an emphasis on careful combat and even more careful resource management, Condemned is perhaps a predecessor to other notable survival horror titles such as the Amnesia series.
