Bad Company 2 - Cold War Speedrun 5:15.017
4Exact time from Sony Vegas is 5:15.017. Newish strats at the start and a consistent fast dialogue setup at the tank (if done correctly). Setup requires you to get to the stairs which spawn the 2 helis (1:13) very quickly and then wait some time before triggering the tank spawn. This skips first half of the tank dialogue (Haggard yelling "Tank!" etc) and dialogue after calling in the air strike. I have a lineup at the log piles (1:25) where I wait until the second chopper has completely crossed the corner of the house before I trigger the tank. These dialogue skips save maybe 25-30 seconds.
The issue I have with these IL strats is that they're very inconsistent and prone to crashing. I only managed to finish 2 full yolo runs out of 50+ attempts and both were 5:15's. Running quickly past all enemies to the heli trigger is very risky and pretty much just RNG but also needed for this dialogue skip (unless another strat is found). My game liked to crash very often at the heli trigger and there were 2 lag spikes at the heli setup which sometimes crashed the game as well. Running past the MG quickly is also RNG but for full game runs you can wait until the out of bounds area opens so you won't get insta killed by everything and you lose at max 5 seconds. You can't blow up the MG or the oil container before the OOB area opens up.
