Bad game, great glitch - Infinite Call Beads in Secret of Evermore (SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
0In Secret of Evermore for the SNES, there's a super easy way to earn infinite call beads (although you can only carry 99 call beads at a time). Nor sure how this got by the developers. This couldn't be intentional, could it?
On your return to Antiqua (after you've acquired the flying Windwalker) head to the front gate of Nobilia palace. You'll see two shifty-eyed guards standing in front of the open gate. Just south of them are two serpent statues. To the right of the rightmost serpent statue, you can find a call bead near the wall!
However, if you haven't picked up any other ingredients since loading up your save file, you can collect this call bead until you have 99 of them! You can even come back later and do it again, as long as you haven't found any alchemy ingredients since you last loaded your save file!
This way you can earn infinite call beads; but again, you can only carry 99 call beads at a time.
Call Beads allow you to summon allies you've met throughout the game, and these allies can cast powerful alchemy formulae (basically magic spells) that can heal you, nuke your enemies, or grant some other beneficial effect. They're super useful, so this glitch makes the game a lot easier.
