Bad Idea? RTX 3080 With I7 4770K - What Type Of Performance
809So, what happens if you pair an RTX 3080 with an I7 4770K, well we'll find out. This video was inspired largely because I had my older haswell system sitting there, and I had recently bought a new PSU for a totally different build.
I figure this would be a fun project, and so here we are. The RTX 3080 is the founders edition card, and it wasn't overclocked. I focused my benchmarks at both 4K and the 1440P resolution, because no one is really going to game at 1080P with an rtx 3080, and even if you would, there's no competition at all against a 10900K.
I have overclocked the I7 4770K to 4.4GHz, and squeezed the RAM to tight timings at 2200mhz, which is about as fast as I can get without resorting to crazy voltage.
