Balancing VR Multiplayer: Player Height & Locomotion Types (VR Essays Ep.4)
Another episode in my VR Essays series, this time I have moved outside to take in the beautiful weather (I filmed four episodes outside). In this episode, I want to discuss the difficulties that developers are going to face when it comes to balancing their multiplayer games in VR in two primary areas; player height and how that can lead to smaller targets with an advantage (Oddjob) and then the other difficulty will be balancing the many different locomotion types available in so many VR games. The second point is the primary one of this video and I feel is the larger issue that we will face in the not too distant future as VR grows in popularity and multiplayer games become better and more competitive.
Intro song is: "The Runner" By Zack Hemsey - off his NOMAD album
